Craig Nagoshi, an associate Professor in the Dept. Psychology at ASU since 1989. "Religiosity, spirituality, and psychological functioning," In spite of their importance in many people's lives, religiosity and spirituality are understudied topics in psychology. The talk will briefly present how religiosity and spirituality are measured in psychology and what has been found about the relationships of religiosity and spirituality with psychological health and social attitudes. There will also be a consideration of the strengths and limitations of a scientific approach to understanding religious phenomena.
